Content Policy

Last updated: March 2026  ·  Effective date: March 2026

This Content Policy sets out the standards that all content on VaidyaHub must meet. It applies to listing owners, patients, and any user who submits, uploads, or publishes content on our Platform, including profile information, photographs, posts, updates, and reviews. By using our Platform, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in content removal, listing suspension, or permanent account termination.

1. Accuracy and Authenticity

All content submitted to our Platform must be accurate, genuine, and representative of reality. Specifically:

  • Professional qualifications, degrees, registrations, and certifications must be real and currently valid
  • Contact details, addresses, and operating hours must reflect current, accurate information
  • Photographs must depict your actual clinic, hospital, staff, or facilities — not stock images, unrelated visuals, or digitally manipulated images
  • Posts and updates must reflect real activities, announcements, or information related to your healthcare practice

2. Original Content

Content submitted to our Platform must be original and written in your own words. You must not copy, reproduce, or republish content from other sources — including other healthcare directories, websites, journals, or AI-generated text — without proper authorisation and attribution. Content that appears to be entirely or substantially generated by artificial intelligence tools is not permitted on our Platform, as it does not accurately reflect your practice's voice or genuine patient interactions.

3. Prohibited Content

The following types of content are strictly prohibited on our Platform:

Misleading Medical Claims

Content that makes false, exaggerated, or unsubstantiated claims about treatments, success rates, cures, or outcomes. All clinical claims must be evidence-based and compliant with Indian Medical Council guidelines.

Offensive or Harmful Imagery

Images that are sexually explicit, graphically violent, discriminatory, or otherwise offensive to any community or individual. Medical or clinical photographs must be presented professionally and contextually.

Defamatory Content

Content that attacks, disparages, or makes false statements about individuals, competing healthcare providers, institutions, or any other party.

Spam and Promotional Abuse

Repetitive posts, irrelevant promotions, advertising of third-party products or services, or any content designed primarily to manipulate search rankings rather than inform patients.

Patient Privacy Violations

Any content that discloses or identifies patient information, medical records, case histories, or photographs without the explicit written consent of the patient. This is in violation of the Indian Medical Council ethics guidelines and applicable law.

Intellectual Property Infringement

Content that reproduces, distributes, or displays copyrighted text, images, logos, or trademarks belonging to third parties without authorisation.

Illegal Content

Any content that promotes, facilitates, or constitutes a criminal offence under Indian law, including content related to illegal drugs, unlicensed medical procedures, or unauthorised practice of medicine.

4. Patient Reviews

Reviews submitted by patients are subject to the following standards:

  • Reviews must be based on the reviewer's genuine, first-hand experience with the healthcare provider
  • Reviews must not contain personal insults, abusive language, or threats
  • Listing owners must not solicit, purchase, or coerce reviews in exchange for discounts, gifts, or any other incentive
  • Listing owners must not submit reviews for their own listings, directly or through associates
  • Reviews that include sensitive medical details about the reviewer or others will be edited or removed to protect patient privacy

5. Image Standards

All images uploaded to our Platform must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be original photographs taken at your actual practice premises or of your actual team
  • Must not include watermarks, logos, or branding of other platforms or organisations
  • Must not contain identifiable patients without their explicit written consent
  • Must not be obscene, violent, or inappropriate for a professional healthcare context
  • Profile photographs must clearly and accurately depict the listed doctor, facility, or clinic

6. Enforcement

We reserve the right to take the following actions in response to content that violates this policy:

  • Removal of individual posts, images, or sections of listing content
  • Temporary suspension of the listing or account pending review
  • Permanent removal of the listing from our Platform
  • Permanent termination of the account without refund of any fees paid
  • Reporting to relevant authorities in cases involving illegal content

Enforcement decisions are made at our sole discretion. We may act on content reported by users, identified through our own review, or flagged by automated systems. We aim to act on reports of serious violations within 72 hours.

7. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content on our Platform that you believe violates this policy, please report it to us immediately. We take all reports seriously and review them thoroughly. To report a violation, please contact us at the email address below, providing the URL of the content in question and a brief description of the concern.
